Getting to Know Laurie March

Q: What was your first job?
Laurie: "Cleaning bathrooms in high school. Maybe that's where I first fell in love with SURE isn't where I fell in love with cleaning!"

Q: What famous figure inspires your career?
Laurie: "Martha Stewart literally blew the doors off the interior design world - and made homeownership and design something that everyone could learn about. Her empire is something incredible - she really has curated so much style and design information over the last 20 years!"

Q: What is your favorite room in your home and why?
Laurie: "My living room has a giant, gray, modern sectional, with a shag rug underfoot. You can have friends over and everyone can sprawl out and watch TV together! My dog Newton and I can be found on it every Sunday."

Q: What’s your personal mantra?
Laurie: "Life's too short for crappy linens, bad coffee, and mean people. If you're experiencing one of the three of these - it's time to upgrade!"

Laurie will be taking over the Main Stage presented by IKEA at 5 pm on Friday, January 6th, 1pm and 5 pm on Saturday, January 7th, and 1 pm on Sunday, January 8th. Stop by for renovation advice, project management tips, and tons of design inspiration.
